How to import your TD Ameritrade trades

First option:

Auto sync your account using TD's API.

Second option:

If you don't use the thinkorswim platform, you can upload your transactions.csv file that can be downloaded from the TD Ameritrade website, however we highly recommend you install the platform to download a more complete file. The transactions.csv file is limited and some features and metrics won't work as desired. To download your transactions.csv, follow the steps:

Log in to your account at the TD Ameritrade web site.
Go to My Account, then History & Statements.
Click the Transactions tab and click download

This option will skip duplicate trades, however this file does not have the time of the trades and some metrics like holding times will not be accurate.

If you need to edit your file, use notepad as any other program like excel will reformat the file.
